IBM has made an important announcement for you today! Netezza Performance Server with the hyperconverged IBM Cloud Pak for Data System, will soon provide users the option to deploy their data warehouse on the cloud, on prem or both. Starting June 19th, Netezza Performance Server on the Cloud customers will be running on the cloud on IBM Cloud and AWS.
What to know about the Netezza on the cloud?! There are simply no changes: database engine remains the same. In addition no changes to the simple lift and shift to the cloud. Finally and most importantly the support for third-party tools is unchanged.
